Michael Owen claims that Arsenal have the ability to behind the disappointment

Sky Sports pundit Michael Owen claims that Arsenal have the ability to behind the disappointment of the midweek defeat against Bayern Munich to claim a crucial North London derby success this weekend.

Arsenal will be hosting archrivals Tottenham at the Emirates stadium in what is turning out into the top of the table clash between the two teams. Mauricio Pochettino has managed to turn Spurs into a real top four contender this season and they are only a couple of points behind Arsenal after almost 10 matches. Even a draw would be a great result for Spurs, who have been in fine form over the last couple of weeks.

Arsenal, in contrast, have just suffered one of their worst results under Arsene Wenger after losing 5-1 to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Apart from destroying the moral of the team, this result also places their hopes of qualification to the knockout stages of the Champions League under major doubt. The team needs to win the last two games and hope other results go their way in order to reach the last 16.

However, they remain in a positive condition as far as the domestic league is concerned. Arsenal will be wary of conceding ground to title rivals Manchester City if they dropped points against Tottenham.
“The Gunners have to put behind their heavy Champions’ League defeat in Munich in what promises to be an absorbing north London derby.Spurs are unbeaten since the opening day of the season when they were, arguably, unlucky to come away from Old Trafford with a point. I expect them to get a draw on Sunday. I think this could be a draw,” said Owen. The injury crisis appears to be mounting for Wenger and he would be satisfied with a draw at this stage.
